History

The Company was created in 1992 by Ali Karacadag bringing together Turkish and European expertise into the field of aviation.

Steelbird started life on the floor of a tiny office in a Dalaman hotel. They spent the autumn setting the company going and signed the first contract with Excalibur on 04th November. That same winter they won the Airtours contract . They have not looked back since.

When the first flight landed we were still using a ‘ticker-tape’ telex machine, had no office in any airport, two staff and no mobile phone. Things have changed just a bit since then. There are now 30 of us proud to be working for Steelbird ( and all of us have mobile phones! ).

However the Steelbird ethos has not changed since Day 1. We offer a very different, very personal service. Simply -the best. We know we don’t have to sing our own praises – our customers do it for us! As we enter our 17th year we don’t just sit back on our reputation, but continue to try the hardest.

We added our Sailing Division at the beginning of 2008 with a fleet of 8 brand new Jeanneau yachts and have ensured our high standard of excellence and customer satisfaction.
